The Willamette River is within just a few miles from where I live and if I go one day without seeing it, I will make up for it by seeing it multiple times the next day. On one of those days I found this scene as the sun lowered toward the distant hills to the west. This day was special in that the sun was veiled by a thick atmosphere, giving it a sort of calm instead of a bright light that you had to squint at. I could look at the whole scene with with a sense of relaxation.
